You have a strong technical background and a passion for live music.

While this is not a developer role, some development experience (even outside of work experience) is preferred. A strong understanding of web technologies, the ability to have meaningful technical conversations with stakeholders, and the experience to make project decisions based on those conversations is crucial.

THE JOB

Live Nation's Content Studio is looking for a Technical Project Manager to support the Setlist.fm team. Setlist.fm is the live music wiki for fans all of the world, boasting 8M+ historical setlists across all genres of music. It's owned and operated by Live Nation, and serves as a 'hero platform' for fans to collaborate on and view historical setlists, predictive set times for upcoming shows, and is a source of quality music journalism.

This Technical Project Manager will be responsible for a wide range of projects, including web platform development, execution of sponsorship programs, and technology vendor management. The Setlist.fm team is cross-functional by design, and the person filling this roll will work with the product, editorial, operations, and production teams to drive continued development of the platform by contributing to product strategy and keeping projects on track through the full development cycle.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Actively build a deep personal understanding of the overall Setlist.fm platform, its products, the roadmap, and its positioning in the live music landscape.
• Use that understanding to actively participate in project development, product positioning and development strategy.
• Collaborate with product team to manage the platform roadmap.
• Understand technical problems, and work with the available resources to, scope, budget, design, and execute solutions.
• Lead development projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Proactively facilitate communication, keeping all stakeholders informed on project status
• Execute and lead regular reporting for internal and sponsorship programs, including content and digital ad management.
• Create and maintain detailed process documents and trackers
• Own the process & communication with technical vendors, establishing process and ensuring that they receive needed support
• Lead communication with technical vendors, ensuring support is provided and deadlines are met.
• Build tools and processes to automate repetitive tasks using low-code/no-code platforms.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 2-4 years experience managing projects, ideally focused on consumer-facing web products.
• Meaningful experience with modern web technologies. You don't need to have been a full-time developer, but some hands-on development experience is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking skills, a passion for music, and a desire to work on products that you actually care about.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• College degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on coding experience with modern web technologies, including Javascript/ES6, Python and common web frameworks.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience using low-code/no-code platforms for building interntal tools
• Data and analytics experience, e.g. Google Analytics, BI dashboard tools, Pandas, Jupyter etc
• Demonstrable passion for music and technology
