Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the opening and oversight of all operations of the Brooklyn Bowl flagship location in Philadelphia slated to open in Q4, 2021. As an integral member of the company's executive team this candidate will be held to the highest professional and ethical standards. The General Manager will be responsible for (i) the day-to-day management of the overall property operations and affairs of the location (ii) implementing and
maintaining vision of the organization and (iii) the direction and supervision of the management team. The General Manager shall assume an active role in strategic planning, positioning, policy-making and presenting plans to the ownership team and be responsible for the implementation and execution of those plans and policies. Other duties and responsibilities of the General Manager include the following:
• Develop an execution culture across the venue/act as a role model 'living' the company's values
• Develop and define the short and long-term vision/growth strategy for the location and establish effective measurements and accountability processes to ensure successful implementation
• Oversee the development and execution of optimal business, capital and human resources strategies to ensure the sustainability of the operation and proactively communicate strategies to an ownership/executive team
• Develop systems and strategies to continually improve financial performance, customer, and employee satisfaction
• Ensure that a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained, and internal and external customer service needs are met through avenues such as training,
survey analysis, feedback, and positive re-enforcement programs
• Maintain high personal involvement and visibility with ownership to develop transparent and collaborative dialogue and accessibility
• Achieve financial objectives by developing and monitoring the performance of financial operational plans/budgets, sales & marketing plans to support the overall objectives of the Company, control labor and expenses in all areas of operations, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility: Schedule, plan and organize work and communicate goals, ensure staff compliance of standards and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement and resolve issues, manage direct reports to accomplish performance goals.
• Provide developmental coaching and guidance for long-term career growth
opportunities to all direct reports, train, conduct planning sessions and performance reviews with direct reports and discipline when necessary
• Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenue
• Increase group event sales revenue through effective management of sales team, and creates actionable and measurable sales deliverables
• Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational, health and safety regulations and laws, create an environment where safety comes first, oversee safety program and assure company's safety policies are followed
• Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs

Professional Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be decisive and persuasive but not be an ''ego'' driven individual.
The person will need to lead by example and be a ''hands on'' operator with the ability to see the big picture. They will be a strong motivator and will delegate authority with responsibility and empower management to run their respective departments, be hard working and have a positive attitude. The individual must be a measured thinker and have first-rate analytical skills.
The successful candidate will be a natural leader whose strengths and style complement the existing team. They will be a respected executive of the highest integrity and a leader who can positively affect the culture, external image, and inspire performance by management and associates. Brooklyn Bowl has a team of ''doers'' up and down the organizational chart and fosters a culture where new ideas are heard and embraced. An amicable personality, sense of humor and passion for music is the right fit.
The candidate should hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 10 years experience in the multi-unit restaurant, retail or hospitality industries.
Pre-opening experience is a plus.
Compensation
Base salary and incentives will be commensurate with experience.
