WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assist in scheduling staff, voids/closing comps, liquor pulls, cutting staffing levels,
checking out bar staff at end of shift
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the business when acting as manager on duty-
this includes managing staff, monitoring operations in the venue, performing all opening
and closing duties, etc.
• Perform table maintenance duties according HOB service standards
• Maintain daily labor/timesheets and assist with payroll
• Conduct semi-annual evaluations of all staff and propose raise recommendation to the
head of the department
• Hold departmental staff meetings to keep everyone informed of the departments
problems/progress
• Oversee all schedules within Foundation Rooms
• Conduct daily pre-shift in an upbeat and motivational manner
• Follow up/follow through of subordinates in reaching goals (continual coaching and
counseling)
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels – hiring, terminations, maintain disciplinary
documentation; and ensure complete/thorough training of all staff
• Assist in perceiving and troubleshooting potential problems
• Log nightly sales and operational issues in Manager Log Book, either manually or
online
• Monitor the labor cost of the shift, paying close attention to overtime
• Assist in ensuring proper food preparation/presentation
• Housekeeping – conduct walk through
• Maintain OSHA workplace
• Maintain operational supplies
• Maintain reservations
• Oversee parties/special events in the room
• Keep guest feedback log
• Cost control on labor, F&B, Liquor
• Facilitate proper inter-departmental communication and organization
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Required:
• 3 –5 years high volume experience with an upscale hospitality establishment
• Financial & Operational skills
• Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
• Ability to work late hours
• (State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/Responsible Alcohol Awareness
Training Certification or Equivalent
• Knowledge of state, federal and local liquor laws and health code regulations
• Experience with fine dining procedures
• Fine wine knowledge
• Guest Relations
• High School Diploma
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Preferred:
• Point of Sales Experience
• College Degree
• P & L Reporting experience is a plus
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
• Work environment is fast-paced
• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
