Job Description
THE JOB

The Gorge Amphitheater is seeking a Command Center Dispatch. The Command Center Dispatch are responsible for coordinating dispatch operations, effectively communicating with field personnel, and manage resource distribution for incidents as they arise. They ensure seamless communication between all involved entities, utilize technology like computer-aided dispatch systems, and handle emergency calls efficiently while collaborating with various emergency services for a coordinated response.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Dispatch Coordination :
• Dispatch of appropriate departments through the use of radio systems.
• Communicate effectively with field personnel, providing essential information and instructions.
• Resource Allocation :
• Prioritize and allocate resources based on the nature of the incident.
• Maintain accurate records of resource assignments and availability in dispatching software systems.
• Schedule drone pilots in accordance with show needs
• • Communication :
• Assist in ensuring proper communication between all entities. (Venue, 3 rd party vendors, public safety departments)
• Technology Utilization:
• Operate and utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and other relevant technologies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and actions taken during each emergency incident.
• Ensure proper maintenance is performed on all drones and equipment.
• Emergency Call Handling:
• In the event of an emergency, receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and other agencies.
• Collaborate with venue/event personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services to ensure a coordinated-response to emergency inci dents.
• Gather critical information to assess the nature and urgency of the situation.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Experience as a command center dispatcher or in a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and other relevant technologies.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in a live events environment desired.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$20.00 USD - $25.00 USD Hourly
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
