AP Supervisor

Job Description

THE JOB

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor for the Live Nation Concerts division, a segment of the Live Nation live music business. Position is responsible for supervising AP clerks and contract staff to provide timely and accurate support to the Concerts division of companies. There is a blend of transactional and entry-level accounting knowledge required. This person must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask and manage a large team.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the team to deliver an excellent support service to the Concerts division
• Receive, file, code and process all invoices, wires, and/or checks with assistance from Financial Accountants and others
• Processing of A/P invoices, manual checks and wires
• Obtain appropriate approvals for payments in line with delegation of authority
• Reporting and monitoring of the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure all supplier and customer account details are accurate and up to date
• Research payments in accounting system
• Receive and respond to all supplier and customer queries within agreed timelines
• Review monthly Aging reports and provide status updates to external vendors and internal departments
• Work with Concerts Shared Services Division VP and AP Manager to implement system and process improvements
• Manage complex data sets in Excel: sorting, filtering, pivoting information to reach a desired format for invoice processing
• Assist with financial month/year end tasks
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, [music/events/entertainment industry preferred
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and payment processing
• High level computer literacy –proficiency across Outlook, Word, Excel
• Oracle experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in a manner consistent with the culture, across all levels
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated true passion for music
