Job Description
Summary of Position

Senior-level executive position responsible for generating and handling a high volume of development projects for unscripted television produced by the company for multiple networks. Works with the development team to maintains an ongoing slate of projects and works closely with the casting and production teams to achieve prescribed creative, visual and editorial objectives for developing projects. This role is primarily remote.

Essential Functions
• Regularly monitor, track and report the progress of new and ongoing projects to the SVP and CCO.

• Discover, research and develop new and unique ideas, concepts, trends, and talent (for casting) with a primary focus on large scale formats for broadcast TV and streaming.

• Able to synthesize information from multiple sources, prioritize and track various tasks and projects, and organize and coordinate multiple activities for various events, in order to manage the workflows for all projects.

• Maintain, build and foster strong relationships with buyer across all networks and streaming platforms.

• Excellent verbal and written skills to articulate and present ideas, in the form of treatments, presentations, breakdowns or pitches, with persuasiveness, enthusiasm, and journalistic sensibility.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and adaptability to work effectively with diverse groups using various communication methods.

• Demonstrate creative discernment and editorial expertise to develop compelling storylines and characters, and to oversee the preparation of sizzle reels by the production and post-production teams.

• Develop effective collaborations with team (junior staff), networks, senior executives and other third parties (cast, talent agencies, industry professionals).

• Supervise junior development associates by assigning tasks, overseeing workflows, assessing and developing associates' skill sets, and managing their overall performance on assigned projects.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Able to quickly and effectively adapt to changing priorities, unfamiliar environments, conflicting deadlines, and heavy workflows.

• Flexibility in scheduling to permit occasional work on weekends and nights.

• Monitor and assess relevant trends and demographics in pop culture, television, and social media, including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Google Communities, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.

Qualifications and Skills
• 5+ years of television development experience working across a variety of formats

• 2-3 years of management experience (delegation and oversight).

• Detail-oriented and superior editorial/writing, organizational and time management skills.

• Strong organizational skills to track various projects and tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

• Effective and clear communication skills to adeptly perform heavy email and telephone correspondence.

• Proficient knowledge of production and post-productions processes and equipment to film and edit content.

Compensation

$150,000 - $170,000
