Job Summary/Description:
Master Control Operators are responsible for ensuring the successful transmission of proper audio and video signals to the stations for both prerecorded and live programming. Operators are required to document discrepancies that occur in a clear and concise manner and follow established standard operating procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Operate video and audio switching/routing equipment to deliver programs, station breaks, and announcements on air according to pre-established program logs.
- Make programming changes according to established guidelines in the event of program discrepancies or emergencies.
- Record programming discrepancies in detailed station Discrepancy Reports.
- Record programming changes in the station program log.
- Monitor transmitter operation and report deviations or malfunctions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- KTVF is seeking a Television Broadcast Operator.
- Must possess attention to detail skills.
- This position monitors on-air television programs.
- This position is shift work and may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
