The role demands someone who is consistently visible, engaged, and passionate about local storytelling. If you're a journalist who sees every day as an opportunity to dig deeper, showcase untold stories, and truly represent Salt Lake City's heartbeat, KSTU is looking for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Anchor evening broadcasts Monday-Friday. Report regularly.
• Generate compelling story ideas tailored for multiple platforms.
• Report live on location from various news events.
• Organize material, and write stories according to prescribed editorial story style, and formats for each of our platforms- including digital.

• Collaborate effectively with News, Promotion, Production and Engineering on daily broadcast, special projects and online coverage.
• Make community appearances and participate in station-led initiatives.
• Build a network of informational sources to provide exclusive stories for the Scripps brand.
• Meet all production deadlines.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in relation discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Generally, 5+ years on-camera experience preferred.

• Must have good creative and editorial judgment, mastery of journalistic ethics, and libel law.
• Must be able to speak clearly and concisely.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
