About KSNB:

KSNB is the NBC affiliate for the Lincoln/Hastings/Kearney Market. Located in Hastings, the station focuses on hyper-local news, weather, and sports coverage for the cities of Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney.

Job Summary/Description:

KSNB-TV, Local4, Hastings, Nebraska, is looking for smart, capable storytellers who will embrace our Central Nebraska community and tell stories about the people who make it special! Local4 thrives because we have people with a passion for learning about our community and our audience and who authentically demonstrate that passion on the air, online, and especially in person. Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited, to):
• Provide sports segments for newscasts as assigned, as well as on various digital platforms
• Produce/Anchor sports segments for weekend newscasts
• When necessary, cover not only sports stories but also news stories at the discretion of newsroom management
• Fill-in anchor for sports and news when necessary due to illness or vacation relief
• Be ready and willing to work various schedules depending on the staffing needs of the station
• Perform all the regular duties of a reporter, from story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:
- We're looking for creative communicators.
- Use your background in journalism to demonstrate your passion.
- We'd like some professional experience but the most important qualities are a desire to improve and a willingness to put in the work to get there.
- Demonstrate that you can perform under the deadline.
- It also helps if you've worked with ENPS, the Edius editing platform, and ENG equipment.

If you have experience shooting live, local sports, and news events, even better. We also look for personal storytelling on broadcast and digital platforms.
