Job Summary/Description:

Southwest Louisiana's KPLC-TV seeks a degreed meteorologist to join the First Alert Weather Team.

The primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing weather data and preparing an accurate forecast for our weekday newscast and serving as the substitute meteorologist for our weekend newscasts. You'll use the latest products from Weather Central/WSI to provide forecasts across multiple platforms. You'll do weather-related reports when not forecasting, for TV and Digital properties.

Qualifications/Requirement:
• Requirements are a bachelor's degree in meteorology or atmospheric sciences from an accredited institution. A background in journalism and/or mass communication is also preferred. Flexibility in scheduling to cover severe weather or fill-in for other weather team members is a must. You must also have a good driving record and valid driver's license. MVR required.
