About KOTA/KEVN:

KOTA and KEVN are the ABC and FOX affiliates in Rapid City at the base of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. KOTA and KEVN and the market leaders for local news, sports and weather with a state-of-the-art facility. KOTA and KEVN feature separate brands. Both stations cover the Black Hills area of South Dakota as well as parts of eastern Wyoming. Our teams produce six daily newscasts and six weekend newscasts.

KOTA & KEVN are located in Rapid City, SD television Market 169, a community of approximately 100,000 television HH.

Job Summary/Description:

KOTA/KEVN is currently looking for a Morning News Anchor/Reporter that will anchor the morning show from 7am-8am on KEVN. The Morning Anchor/Reporter will also be responsible for creating at least one package per week and other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchor the morning show from 7am-8am on KEVN.
- Create at least one package per week.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to handle breaking news live in the studio and in the field
- Excellent on-camera presentation
- Be able to write in a clear, concise and conversational manner
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to contribute in an on-camera and off-camera team environment
- Effective use of social media talent pages
