Job Summary/Description:
First Alert 7 - the top-rated, long-time news leader in Odessa-Midland, TX - is looking for a Meteorologist to join our news team and forecast during our weekend shows. You'll be responsible for monitoring weather channels and forecasting. You'll also work with our weather team on social media content. You'll have the chance to learn about broadcast news from an award-winning team of journalists.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Forecast for West Texas viewing areas in at least one show per day.
- Work with the Chief Meteorologist on graphics
- Create social media content about meteorology/West Texas weather patterns
- Maintain weather pages on firstalert7.com and the First Alert 7 weather app.
- Learn to produce environmental content for shows, learn to produce content.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Broadcast television experience preferred.
