Newscast Director

Job Description

KOKH is looking for Newscast Director to join our team!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• TD newscasts and other productions using a fully automated control room
• Prep and maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
• Works with producers on rundown preparation and show presentation
• Troubleshoot any problems during newscasts

Requirements:
• Experience directing newscasts
• Experience with robotic cameras, Ross Overdrive, Chyron and iNews a plus
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment
• Basic knowledge of studio and production equipment such as microphones, IFBs, audio consoles and video switchers
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew and talent while under pressure
• Typing and good spelling skills
• Ability to read and write
• College degree preferred
• Must be able to lift & position 40 lb. lighting instruments
