Job Summary/Description:
This position edits local and national video for 2.5 hour ''Good Morning East Texas'' newscast. The editor is responsible for reading news copy and producer's editing instructions. Downloading the video , editing the footage as instructed and attaching to the show rundown. The ability to recognize and make suggestions, when observed, is a big plus.
This position edits video for 2.5 hour morning newscast on weekdays. It is a fast paced overnight shift. This position works closely with morning producers team to ensure video matches copy, and any relevant edits to network and local material are made.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Editing video using Edius platform
- Editing PKGs to VOSOTs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A college degree is helpful, but not required
- Internship or relevant experience editing video preferred
- Ability to work a fast-paced overnight shift
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and communication skills
