Job Summary/Description:

KKCO/KJCT, the strong #1 station in the Grand Junction/Montrose market, is looking for a reporter/producer to lead our top-rated morning newscast. This position is great for someone with strong work ethic and the drive to grow their career in journalism. The position will regularly report on-air while also taking the lead of newscasts as a producer.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Find and develop news stories around information and events in the area
- Creatively shoot, write, and edit locally produced news reports
- Write and produce newscasts covering the top local and national headlines
- Manage your time efficiently and effectively
- Write and post stories and videos for the station's digital platforms
- Maintain high journalistic standards in line with station brand and goals

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree in journalism or related field required or equivalent professional experience
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Flexibility in scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
- Previous on-air experience a plus
