Job Summary/Description:
KCBD NewsChannel 11, the dominant #1 station for Lubbock and the South Plains, is looking for a dedicated anchor to handle weekday newscasts for our award-winning news team. The winning candidate will be self-motivated, aggressive, committed to quality and must have a passion for news and clear communication. Candidate will produce and anchor weekday newscast; this is a great opportunity for an experienced reporter, or for an anchor looking for a weekday role.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-- Anchor newscasts as assigned, with clear, concise and fair delivery
-- Cover breaking news
-- Produce newscasts/work with other producers
-- Report as needed
-- Coordinate news coverage with fellow anchors, producers, reporters and photojournalists
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record of covering news
- At least three years' experience as a reporter or anchor
- Confident & experienced performance on-air
- Ability to handle breaking news on-air, on digital and behind the scenes
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
