Job Description

KBAK/KBFX is looking for a creative full-time News Photographer! We are seeking someone who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. This position is for someone proficient in shooting video. Still photography skills are welcome but the position primarily focuses on shooting video. You will cover day-to-day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments. We are shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops. You should have strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude. A passion for storytelling is absolutely essential in this position.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Some experience and technical knowledge of editing and video equipment
• Team player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be 21+ years of age

The hourly compensation range for this role is $16.00 to $17.00. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
