At IMG, our Studios business use content and technology to power the world's passion for sport, working with global clients including The Premier League, The R&A, DP World Tour, Euroleague Basketball and Major League Soccer. We've built Europe's best-connected broadcast centre at Stockley Park, London, distributing 35,000 hours of content globally and creating some of the world's best sporting coverage. Our facilities include four broadcast studios, fifty edit suites and a multitude of radio, podcast, dubbing and VFX facilities, with specialisms in remote production and carbon reduction thanks to our Green to Screen initiative. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The Role and What You'll Do:
The Researcher position will be responsible for fulfilling the research needs for MLS Season Pass. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of soccer, how to convey statistical information effectively, and what makes smart, engaging content. The ability to work within tight deadlines to supply information from a variety of sources will be vital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Compile research packets previewing upcoming matches and events
• Complete research requests from on-air talent and production staff utilizing multiple databases
• Support production staff by assisting with quality control of video content, graphics, and scripts
• Monitor all on-air content to ensure accuracy and product standards
• Prioritize and distribute potentially complicated information within tight deadlines
• Collaborate with other researchers to develop weekly plan for handling assignments and individual requests
• Monitor social media for developing stories, memorable statistics, and significant news
You Have These:
Skills and Experience
Mandatory:
• Previous experience as a researcher in the sports television landscape
• Strong understanding of soccer, specifically MLS and its clubs, players, and history
• Broad knowledge of soccer statistics, including common sources for soccer data, and trends within the space
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills
• Poise in time-sensitive and quick-turnaround environments
• Ability to determine worthy content that breaks through the noise
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and take ownership of your workload
• Attention to detail, scale, instructions, and accuracy
• Good timekeeping and work ethic that is characterized by commitment, motivation, and energy
Desirable:
• Ability to effectively convey statistical information in both English & Spanish

Travel:
Travel may be required for on-site production or event coverage.
Location:
This role is based in Stamford, CT. The candidate should expect to be in the studio 4 days per week. Due to the nature of sports production, weekend work, including every Saturday, is required.
