The Role and What You'll Do:
• Supporting the Events and Media divisions of the business by providing commercially sound advice on legal issues in relation to commercial and revenue generating opportunities.
• Pro-actively working with the legal team (London and International colleagues) to ensure that best practice and knowledge is understood, shared and utilised amongst the team.
• Advising clients on terms that are as robust and favourable as possible to the Company.
• Liaise with the business so that commercial, pragmatic and salient advice and guidance on business opportunities and risk can be followed at all times.
• Working pro-actively and closely with the business to ensure that colleagues are aware of the importance of involving the Legal team at the outset in any commercial opportunity or discussion.
• Assisting with new projects as and when they arise.

Please Note e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc
• Occasional travel to other offices in London will be required.
• Occasionally there will be late calls to facilitate meetings and briefings with the wider global legal team.
• You may also be required to work some unsociable hours to meet business deadlines.

Key Results Areas
• The role will involve Events work on a range of sports and non-sports properties, across our owned, managed and commercially represented Events portfolio.

Working Conditions:
• Fixed Term Contract - 6 months. London Chiswick Park
• Working Hours: 9am - 5pm
• Working Days: Mon-Fri

You Have These:
• Experience of drafting general commercial contracts.
• Worked in a commercial environment.
• Training in top tier legal practice.
• Fully qualified Solicitor
• 2-7 years PQE
• The ability to assimilate and understand salient points of commercial opportunities with both speed and accuracy.
• Excellent written and spoken English with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle and prioritise a varied and heavy workload with the ability to plan ahead.
• Able to work to deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients of all levels both internally and externally.
• Team orientated and focused.
• Ability to develop rapport with immediate and wider colleagues.
• Disciplined, hard-working and committed.
• An enthusiasm for and interest in sport, media and entertainment.

We'd Love If You Also Have These:
• Experience of drafting media rights/production, sponsorship, supplier, agency representation and venue hire contracts.
• Experience of working with cultural and sports organisations.
• Experience of working with high level executives in own and client/customer organisations.
• Has an interest in sport, media and live events.
