Motion Graphic Designer

Job Description

The Houston Rockets and Toyota Center are excited to find a creative motion graphic designer with a passion for fan engagement and brand development. This role should be pursued by a self-motivated individual with an eye for trending styles and innovative ideas. Our goal is to put forth a high-level product and experience to the diverse audiences that pass-through Toyota Center and online followers.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with production team on how to further the brand and engage fans.
• Design and animate high-end motion graphics for use on all organizational channels.
• Follow current trends and forecast new techniques to conceptualize creative ideas.
• Use tools to composite, stylize, and create visually impressive elements showcasing players, game statistics, and entertainment groups, as well as integrating corporate partners.
• Day to day projects could include: adding effects to highlights, stat graphics, creating graphics and animations for all digital displays in the arena, player and sponsored features, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years working in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically After Effects or equivalent motion graphic software
• 1+ years working in Cinema 4D or equivalent 3D animation software
• Ross Xpression knowledge a plus
• Willing to work nights and weekends
• Premiere / Photoshop / Illustrator basic experience

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
• The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
• The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
• The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
