Supervisor: Production Coordinator
Classification: Full-time/Non-Exempt (Temp)
The Ballpark Entertainment Production Apprentice will assist in executing the day-to-day workflow of the Houston Astros Entertainment team. For this year long position, the candidate selected will play a key role in all aspects of the production cycle including live productions and content setup and distribution. The candidate must have experience with the various components of the control room setup and editing software including, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Cloud, EVS, Ross Products (Xpression, Tessera, Accuity and/or Carbonite Switcher) and Camera Setup.
Essential Functions:
• Assist with setup and organization of all game-to-game production content features and pre-produced content.
• Assist will all setup of live production elements for Astros games and Special Events (cameras, Ross Xpression, music choices).
• Capture, inventory, and distribute control room-based footage using Adobe Premiere.
• Work Astros Home Games and Special Events as needed in assigned crew positions.
• Complete special projects as assigned and creative collaboration is a must.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education or Experience and/or Skills:
• Degree in Production, Cinematography, Communications or relevant work experience.
• 1+ years experience in live production, entertainment staff, or similar role with pro team or collegiate sports program.
• Advanced knowledge of software packages including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud Applications.
• Experience working with Adobe Premiere, Ross Products (Xpression, Tessera, Accuity and/or Carbonite Switcher)
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with other departments and production staff.
• Strong attention to detail and project coordination skills.
• Must be very organized, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment within firm production deadlines.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays with flexible schedule.
Work Environment
Position will work in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus. Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
