Job Description
Hearst Magazines is seeking a Supervising Producer to oversee video production and operations for Esquire, Men's Health, and Women's Health. This person is responsible for the day-to-day management of brand-specific video projects which may include overseeing producers, shooters, editors, and motion designers; tracking budget and work flow for multiple projects simultaneously; and working alongside brand, entertainment, development and partnership teams through the ideation, production, and post-production process. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the digital landscape as well as a strong drive to create fresh, nuanced, and highly engaging video content. In addition to having a great eye and smart ideas, this person must be able to collaborate seamlessly to bring stories to life in video. Ideal candidates are highly conceptual and have a strong vision for experimenting with formats and visual storytelling.

Resonsibilities:
• Produce video across content verticals (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), working with the editorial team to identify opportunities that will translate into compelling video storytelling
• Direct on-camera talent and oversee crew on set
• Manage budget as well as a team of 4 direct reports
• Book/hire freelancers as needed for various projects
• Manage post-production (give notes and feedback on various edits, GFX, etc.)
• Implement best practices and style guides to ensure quality and maximum performance
• Manage video production budget to maximize resources for creating new content

Qualifications:
• 6-8 years of production experience in both traditional and digital video
• 4-6 years of experience in managing multiple direct reports
• Demonstrated ability to produce internet-forward/highly engaging short and mid-form video content
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for engaging visual storytelling
• Innovator with the ability to find new ways to present digital video content
• Passion and interest in multiple genres and obsessive knowledge of the digital video and multimedia landscape, with a keen understanding of the competition
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and other Creative Suite products a plus
• Exceptional eye for lighting and visual elements
• Natural problem solver
• Results driven with the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills, both written and verbal

The base salary for this role in NY is between $98,000-$108,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
