Job Description
The Hearst Licensing Team is central to expanding the reach and influence of some of the most esteemed brands in media. The team is responsible for managing accolade licensing for various Hearst award franchises (e.g., Cosmopolitan's Holy Grail Beauty Awards, Esquire's Grooming Awards, Good Housekeeping's Bedding Awards), ensuring that these prestigious recognitions enhance both brand equity and revenue streams. To continue this growth, the team seeks a Sales Manager who is a fast learner with enthusiasm for making sales. The ideal candidate will help build strategic partnerships and negotiate licensing agreements, while maintaining strong brand resonance and financial growth.
Resonsibilities:
• Monetize logos, award emblems and content related to accolades
• Build and maintain relationships with current and potential licensees
• Diligently check RSS feeds daily for sellable content
• Continuously monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and ''white space'' for future award franchises
• Master your sales vertical - gain in-depth knowledge and expertise about the particular market, products, customer needs, and challenges within that sector
• Communicate and collaborate with all internal stakeholders at Hearst including editors, marketing, sales, and legal
• Seeking clearance in Atlas for content usage
• Submitting licensing invoices
• Creating and modifying licensing agreements
• Maintain detailed records of licensing transactions
• Sales
• Leads
• Renewals
• Process requests efficiently and with acceptable quality levels
• Monitor the marketplace for any unauthorized use of the organization's intellectual property and taking appropriate action
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 4-5+ years of experience in sales
• Knowledge of logo or content licensing preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to exercise sound business judgement
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
The base salary for this role is between $88,000-$106,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
