Job Description
As part of the Advertising Revenue Operations team, the Digital Advertising Contracts team oversees the review and negotiation of agreements between Hearst Magazines and our advertising partners. They are at the forefront of helping move our business forward and protect the company's interests in delivering ad services to the marketplace.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Advertising Contracts, the Digital Advertising Contracts Manager will assume responsibility for drafting and negotiation of agreements, as assigned by the Director, for Hearst's digital co-branded advertising campaigns.
Resonsibilities:
What you'll do:
• Responsible for review and negotiation of Advertising insertion orders as assigned by Director to ensure they align with Hearst policy.
• Assist Director on an as-needed basis in review and negotiation of agreements for co-branded advertising programs (including revisions to Hearst's insertion orders, content agreements, Letters of Intent, and RFP's).
• Assist Director in identifying common patterns with major advertisers and/or agency partners to foster consistency and facilitate swift resolution of agreements. This may include assisting the Director with the development of contractual precedents and proposed templates.
• Escalate complex contracts matters to Director.
• Assist with training of Account Management and Sales teams on best practices for contracts to ensure such teams fully understand and comply with Hearst policy (e.g., provide access to up-to-date templates and reference materials, respond to inquiries on contracts processes, and assist the Director with the review of training materials and contract templates).
• Serve as primary point of contact when Director is out of office, handling review and negotiation of insertion orders, content agreements, NDA's, influencer agreements, and miscellaneous contracts supplied by ad partners.
Qualifications:
Who you are:
• Contracts professional with 3-5 years experience in contract management, preferably in media or advertising industry
• Very keen attention to detail, with an emphasis on contract drafting and revisions
• Possesses working knowledge of contract law
• Must be able to prioritize and give colleagues an accurate assessment of turnaround time frame
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Ability to collaborate across teams and proactively problem solve
• Excellent writing skills
• Positive attitude
• A bachelor's degree
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
The base salary for this role is between $74,000 to $89,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
