Your impact:
Hearst's Enthusiast Group-Popular Mechanics, Bicycling, Runner's World, and Best Products-is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, critical-thinking multitasker with a passion for editorial content to become our content production editor. Working with the director of editorial operations, the CPE will track production of all brands' print issues and related content projects, enforce content deadlines, and dynamically take the lead on adjusting workflow to meet them. With a critical eye and editorial sensibility, the CPE will proof issues' content and follow up with editors and designers to ensure the high quality Enthusiast audiences demand. The ideal candidate is a self-starter comfortable working with a large team in an environment that requires continual adaptation.

What you'll do:
• Track progress of editorial content production and enforce deadlines for print issues.
• Under guidance of the director of editorial operations, help drive the entire Enthusiast group to on-time, efficient production of all content across all channels.
• Work with editors and designers to ensure content quality.
• Regularly update third-party content producers, such as Apple News and Hearst International Partners, about our upcoming content.
• Become a ''superuser'' of Coda.io planning/tracking workspace, addressing staff help requests and ideating ongoing improvements to the system and working with Director of Editorial Operations and dev contractors to implement them.
Who you are:
• You have 1 to 4 years experience in editorial content process management, or other operational role, ideally in media.
• You have 1 to 2 years experience proofing editorial content.
• You're able to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• You're a problem-solver who can pivot quickly to maintain workflows.
• You thrive working in a large group with multiple departments and deal easily with fast-changing priorities.
• You're familiar with Adobe InCopy and Content Management Systems.
