Job Description
Hearst Television is seeking a qualified Compensation Manager. The position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The manager will report to and support Hearst Television's VP of Compensation. The Compensation Manager position will entail various compensation-related tasks, including supporting the Vice President of Compensation with the development, management, and evolution of Hearst Television's compensation programs. Based at our office in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina, this position will interact with Hearst Television's senior leadership team and the executive teams of the company's thirty-five television stations across the country.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the company's compensation strategy in alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints.
• Participate in or lead salary surveys to maintain a competitive market position and analyze market salary data and industry trends to inform pay decisions and recommendations.
• Participate in the administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and commission plans.
• Manage annual salary review processes, including merit increases and market adjustments.
• Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Manage the accurate use of job code assignments and follow up as necessary to ensure compliance.
• Provide training to team managers and partner with the Human resources team on compensation strategies and compensated-related communications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Experience in compensation with a proven track record in managing compensation programs.
• Degree or professional experience in Human Resources/Business related field preferred.
• Eagerness to take on a new challenge and learn evolving areas of compensation.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
• Be a strong team player, take initiative, and be an enthusiastic go-to person.
• Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate data.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
