Job Description
HTV Charlotte is looking for an Ad Operations Manager to join the team. The HTV Charlotte Ad Operations team supports Hearst Television's 35 television stations sales teams across the country. Responsibilities include management, maintenance, and oversight of the daily operation an assigned group of employees. This includes hiring, training, growth and development, supervision of workflow, ensuring quality control and inventory maximization. Additional team projects will be assigned as needed. In office presence is required at a minimum of three days a week, additional days may be required as needed. You will report to the Sr Ad Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
• Leadership
• Lead a team of Ad Ops Specialists – you will work directly with various specialists and station personnel to ensure inventory maximization and address any order revisions necessary for placement of spots
• Manage team members to ensure they are on task to meet deadlines and to see if they need assistance to complete daily tasks
• Mentor team members and share knowledge to create an efficient workflow and increase service levels to stations
• Assist in the recruitment process and training of new hires
• Train existing personnel in log preparation, inventory control, programming functions, continuity, and traffic workflow
• Complete performance evaluations of team members and hold ongoing career conversations
• Management Team Support
• Work with the Senior Management Team to improve operational systems, processes, and policies to support the Ad Ops operation
• Back-up other Ad Ops Managers
• Project Management
• Manage training coordination efforts for internal and external training sessions
• Special projects assigned by management
• On-Call support
• On-call support will be done on a rotation basis
• Manager will be part of the first line of support for after hours and weekend calls
Requirements
• 4-5 years Radio and/or Television Traffic Management experience required
• WideOrbit or similar Ad Ops Traffic System preferred
• Working knowledge of Digital Ad systems like (GAM)would be a bonus
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
• Prior management experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people within the organization
• Passion for customer service and detail orientation.
