What my Team is doing?

The WMTO DTC Software Engineering teams are responsible for delivering software components of HBO Max streaming platform. The software system we are building shall deliver high customer satisfaction and the team shall strive to do continuously improvement of the service.

What will I be doing?
• Learning the domain and the way of working in the development organization
• Responsible for the implementation of the HBO Max platform components such as localization, preparing content, content management and more! You will be using Typescript, Serverless, Node, AWS and the newest cutting-edge tech!
• Building enterprise cloud technologies using serverless and other latest AWS services
• Implementing integrated monitoring solutions
• Doing On-call shifts to support our own components in case of emergency

What we are expecting from you:
• You should be motivated and self-driven improving you software development skills and learning new technologies
• You should be proactive and self-going in discovering and learning the system components and architecture
• You should be able to implement small features, fix bugs based on well-defined problems and requirements
• You should have stable knowledge on Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• You are expected to have a good understanding of API design patterns
• Relational and non-relational database experience (for example such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora DB)

Would be awesome if knew these but not mandatory:
• Experience with NodeJS, Typescript
• Experience with containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with at least one of the managed cloud services – not such storage and VMware (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Know what DevOps do and how we work together (CICD, Release pipelines)
• React UI Framework experience
