Content Acquisitions, Senior Manager - Indonesia (HBO Max)

The Job

In line with the WarnerMedia content acquisition strategy, the Senior Manager will source and negotiate deals for the acquisition of content with a strong emphasis on the local country audience.

The Daily
• Identify and source content for possible acquisitions for HBO Max in order to grow, maintain and enhance HBO's Max's market share.
• Ensure a strong focus on local language content.
• Act as key point of contact for the acquisitions team and pro-actively seek out the best content with most cost effective deals to boost content offering on D2C platform.
• Lead and manage spend within the annual budget allocated to ensure the best ROI on licensing the best possible content for D2C.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all content providers.
• Effectively and efficiently negotiate to bring the best deals for D2C.
• Work with various stakeholders on deal updates to ensure timely and accurate asset management processes.
• Work closely with other departments (eg. Digital, Marketing, PR, Creative Services, Research, Tech and Ops) to market WM's unique selling propositions.
• Work closely with line manager and regional content acquisitions team as well as other key stakeholders such as Finance, Business Development etc. to ensure that budgets and content volume targets are met/kept within financial and business guidelines.
• Drive efficiencies within the local team by supporting the implementation and streamlining of processes to ensure optimum results.

The Essentials
• Minimum 10 years experience in acquisitions, programming functions in broadcast media industry
• Strong background in Thai language content acquisitions.
• Experience in streaming platforms is a must
• Diploma/ Degree in Media, Mass Communications or any relevant discipline
• Strong language proficiency (written and spoken) in English and local language.

• Exceptional proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and other word processing tools and ability to quickly and proactively learn or adapt to new tools as needed with a deep attention to details and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent presentation skills. Exceptional proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and other word processing tools.
• Excellent negotiations skills, first class communication skills (written and verbal), and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills with ability to deliver within tight deadlines
