Job Summary/Description:

WIS is searching for a motivated photojournalist to join our award-winning team. If you are creative and ambitious and would like to work for a legacy station where visual storytelling comes first - this is the job for you. Basic duties include shooting and editing news stories, conducting interviews, and coordinating live shots with reporters along with crafting sound stories. The ideal candidate is adept with video and editing equipment and has a real vision for storytelling.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Operate field camera
- Ability to quickly edit
- Lighting
- Conducting interviews
- Covering breaking news, general assignments, and feature stories
- Excellent communication skills to relay field information to the newsroom
- Operate live equipment

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to story tell using video, utilizing natural sound and creative editing techniques
- Hands-on experience with editing software
- Able to conduct interviews to get information
- Must be able to lift/carry camera equipment ranging from 20lbs-25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
- Good decision-making skills and news judgment
- Ability to represent the station professionally in the community and newsroom
- Must be able to work well with others and on team assignments
