Job Summary/Description:

WPTA, 21Alive, Fort Wayne's News Leader, is seeking a passionate meteorologist. You'll be part of the biggest weather team in the DMA. This is a Monday-Friday position and requires an experienced weather expert. We're looking for someone who can connect with the audience on the air and online. You'll engage with viewers on social media, and help drive our digital content on 21ALIVE+. If you love tracking severe weather, want to work a sought-after shift, and team up with four other dedicated First Alert meteorologists, this job is the right fit.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive digital content on 21ALIVE+, our digital platform
- Deliver First Alert Forecasts during Monday-Friday newscasts
- Develop a ''digital first'' mindset to creatively share content on multiple platforms
- Engage with the audience seeking streaming weather content on social media.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience as a broadcast meteorologist
- Comfortable delivery and the ability to connect with the audience
- Strong social media presence with a proven track record of engagement
- Ability to work with a dedicated team to track severe weather
- Four-year college degree
