Job Summary/Description:
We are seeking a well-qualified, passionate and goal driven Director of Spanish Language Media Sales for our Telemundo Station Group. This media professional will be working from our Brookhaven offices to represent our 43 Telemundo stations across the country. They will work alongside our local and national teams throughjout the country and be held accountable for maximizing Hispanic television, digital & OTT revenue through large agencies and clients located throughout the country for all 43 Telemundo Stations.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited, to):
• Knowledge and experience with Hispanic media ad sales and relationships with Local, Regional and National advertising agencies and clients.
• The ability to provide Hispanic sales training to local and national sales AE's and assist in closing and maintaining business
• Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenges simultaneously.
• Achieve all monthly and quarterly budgets/KPI's set by sales management.
• Target and close new business prospects for the Gray Telemundo station group for Broadcast and Digital/OTT advertising sales.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and agencies by identifying clients advertising needs and developing customized solutions to meet those needs.
• Create sales and marketing sponsorship/promotion plans for multi market group and annual deals.
• Communicate effectively to local sales teams and management to ensure accurate generation of tracking reports regarding pending deals, forecasts, advertiser, contact and prospect lists.
• Work with internal departments to manage account stewardship through the process.
• Prepare weekly /monthly /annual sales activity reports keeps client database up to date by recording all activities, transactions, and communications with clients.
• Attend sales meetings, training sessions and client meetings and promotions.
• Understand and communicate the resources, products, and capabilities of all Gray Broadcasting's assets.
• Maintain and track an accurate forecast by account at all times.
• Bring a high energy level, ambition, intensity, and long-term perspective to be a core part of building something genuinely significant over time.
• Develop/maintain strong relationships with direct clients, major agencies and establish a track record of strong partnerships with local, national, and digital sales teams to ensure the sales cycle is well planned and executed, and there is alignment around sales strategies and tactics.
• Be a hands-on leader, self-starter, resourceful, and able to identify and articulate opportunities for product/process improvement with significant revenue potential.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of Hispanic experience working with clients, agencies and local/national sales teams throughout the country for TV and digital advertising sales.
• A successful track record of driving new business through both client direct and agency relationships
• A history of experience selling live sports/OTO special sponsorship campaigns to multimarket key clients in advance.
• Experience in selling in show integrations on a local and regional level.
• Multi-platform media sales expertise in selling broadcast TV in combination with digital media to drive client results.
• Ability to navigate large agencies and create digital partnerships.
• Relationship builder with an engaging and energetic personality and desire to contribute to the team to win.
• Goal driven and self-motivated individual that challenges self to exceed targets.
• Ability and experience selling multi-platform advertising programs that include Radio, TV, Digital, Social and Influencer marketing.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressured, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong written, presentation, marketing and closing skills.
• Extensiove knowledge of Wide Orbit, Matrix as well as MS Office products: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
