About KCRG:

KCRG TV9 is the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids and is owned by Gray Media, Inc. KCRG's crew of dedicated reporters and staff serves the Eastern Iowa region. The station is a longtime leader in local news and programming in the region. KCRG 9.2 brings local live events to Eastern Iowa, including high school and college sports, show choirs, parades, professional baseball, hockey, soccer, and much more. Job Summary/Description:

KCRG is seeking a skilled writer/filmographer/graphic designer to write, shoot, and edit commercials for advertising clients as well as station promotions. Candidate must be a skilled visual storyteller with skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. This individual is a hands-on producer with interpersonal skills to communicate needs to on camera individuals to achieve the best production results.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff
• Usage of Adobe Creative Suite and its various programs
• Create ideas, write scripts, and coordinate commercial shoots with both sales staff and advertising clients
• Shoot and edit on multiple camera formats
• Maintain an ability to adapt to changes in work environment and locations
• Present ideas and gain approval and satisfaction from clients
• Practice self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Time management skills and day-to-day project flexibility are required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in film production/videography preferred
• Ability to communicate both internally with staff and externally with advertising clients
• Knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Flexibility when it comes to scheduling and on occasion work an evening, weekend, and/or holiday
• Availability to be present at commercial shoot locations and in person for editing
• Capable of providing a valid driver's license and the ability to drive company owned vehicles
