Job Summary/Description:

Rare Opportunity....A Chief Photographer position is now available at WMC-TV in Memphis, TN. Here's your chance to lead a talented team in a creative and innovative newsroom.

This is a working chief position including both managerial time and field photojournalism. We need someone with a creative eye, technical expertise, and a can-do attitude. You'll also need to understand the importance of visual composition, natural sound, and quality lighting. The successful candidate must be able to deliver great video daily in our very competitive market. In addition to shooting and editing news stories, our chief will manage our fleet, gear, and other operational duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism and/or communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills
• Experience with Edius and field gear preferred.
• Demo reel is required
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple project with varying production timelines
• Must be energetic, positive and a great team builder and leader
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
