We are looking for a driven problem solver possessing a strong appreciation for team building and communication.
The Imaging Support Engineer will provide technical help, support, and coordinate the operation of the review suites. The role is based in the Mumbai office, supporting the busy VFX suite infrastructure. The successful candidate will be working with global counterparts based in London and Montreal and will need to be highly organised with great communication skills and a can-do attitude.
We are ideally looking for someone with an interest in technology and visual effects. This Imaging Engineer position is a demanding but rewarding role with lots of room for growth and development.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that Framestore presentation and delivery of digital imagery is consistent across all formats, viewing environments, and geographies.
• Liaising and communicating with external service providers
• Documenting and escalating imaging and systems issues to the wider team
• Imaging of suite-based devices and other workstations
• Calibration of TVs and Projectors using established and well documented procedures.
• Debugging of suite-based issues to identify the root cause and provide technical summaries
• Maintenance of imaging equipment documentation accounting for any changes
• Technical feedback and refinement of documentation
• Maintenance of on-site spares for the smooth operation of devices under the remit
• Performance of daily and pre sessions technical checks where required
Essential Skills
• Experience in audio-visual or broadcast technology
• Experience with SDI/HDMI infrastructure and routing
• Technical fault finding and diagnostic experience of AV equipment.
• Ability to document and communicate technical information
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documentation
• Systems Administration experience
Desired skills
• Technical familiarity with AVID Media composer, Eizo monitors, Crestron, Extron
• Experience in setup, calibration, operation, and maintenance of digital projectors
• Functional knowledge of Digital cinema colour spaces (DCI, P3, XYZ)
• General understanding of VFX colour pipelines
• Linux and Windows platform support
• Experience basic storage administration
• Experience with Jira, and Confluence tools
• Experience with Teradici PCoIP technology
• Familiarity with basic network concepts, tools, and debugging
