The Assistant Technical Director (ATD) reports to the Head of Computer Graphics for Film & Episodic. The ATD works with the ATD team on a diverse series of technical support and problem solving tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of our film visual effects projects.

Responsibilities:
• Working with the London ATD team to cover technical support work on the current shows
• Providing in-person technical assistance to production and artists in various CG departments
• Working closely with the Head of CG to support current shows
• Working with ATDs to develop tools for new workflows
• Supporting or troubleshooting the pipeline and workflow tools

Essential Skills:
• A degree in Visual Effects, Computer Science, or a similar related field
• Experience working in a technical capacity in visual effects
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• The ability to work well in a collaborative environment
• Experience with a variety of commercial graphics applications such as Maya, Houdini and Nuke

Desirable Skills:
• Experience leading a small team
• Management skills
• Any previous experience in visual effects, CG animation or video game production
• Experience working with Linux
• This is an entry level position aimed at technical graduates looking to break into the world of visual effects
