JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Vice President of Current Series to join FOX Entertainment Studios. The Vice President of Current Series will be responsible for contributing to the creative producing team and collaborating to oversee new scripted content to greenlight as well as overseeing all aspects of creative production / current programming for new and returning shows. The Vice President of Current Series will manage every aspect of your assigned shows, including taking responsibility for the creative decisions made with producers, all internal departments (casting, legal, marketing, scheduling, research, etc.), and network partners.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work in conjunction with the Drama Development department to transition shows that have been picked up from Development into Current series
• Work with Production to ensure that agreed concepts are fully realized in production
• Work strategically with producers and network to continuously reinvigorate current series
• Spearhead staffing efforts for the Originals team and serve as point Current exec for agencies during staffing season
• Liaise with our network and streaming counterparts to ensure longevity of our Current shows by staying in step with our buyers' objectives and finding appropriate creative solutions or compromises
• Act as the primary brand manager for each show, including providing creative thoughts on pitches, outlines, scripts, table reads, dailies, and rough cuts of episodes
• Collaborate with Production, Business Affairs, Casting, and other departments to supervise, from a creative standpoint, the pre-production, production, and post-production activities of all shows. In particular, provide creative feedback on dailies, rough cuts, and all aspects of post-production as it pertains to the development process
• Attend table reads, run-throughs, and shoots, and work with the show's producers, studio production executive, and network to solve creative and production-related issues
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, directors, and production companies
• Introduce new writers to the studio with the potential for future development
• Develop and manage a team of junior creative executives, ensuring their continued growth at FOX
• Manage development budget costs while maintaining high-quality standards
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 12+ years in content development with a significant tenure within either a TV broadcast, cable network, Studio, and/or established independent production company
• Strong, established relationships with key players in the TV industry, including talent, agents, production companies, producers, writers, etc.
• Team player who works well with others, exhibits flexibility, is a voracious reader, avid TV watcher, strategic thinker, and articulate communicator
• Forward-thinking, proactive problem solver who presents ideas and solutions, and has the ability and confidence to cover series on their own and work with individuals with widely varying personalities
• Imaginative, innovative mindset with strong combination of creative sensibility and keen business acumen
• Excellent writer with strong communication skills and the ability to present his/her views clearly and compellingly
• Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills, including the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment as well as diverse constituencies and both creative and business personality types
• Ability to think outside the box and encourage this type of thinking among team members
• Ability to develop a cohesive and highly motivated creative team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
• Ability to travel to the location of our productions on a moment's notice – domestic and international
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $150,000.00-190,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
