FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KTBC Fox 7 the Fox O&O in Austin, TX has an opening for a senior producer for our five-and-a-half-hour morning newscast. The ideal candidate needs to know news, news production and social media and how they all come together in our morning newscast. Work with a great team of anchors, producers and reporters to make sure we have the freshest news on the air starting at 4:30 a.m. You will produce the first half hour of news. For the remainder of the morning, you will work with producers to update and format newscasts, be a copy editor, a crew wrangler and will keep our social media pages updated overnight. In essence, you will help set the table for the day ahead for news coverage.

A college degree in journalism or a related field is preferred. At least 2 years of producing experience and a good working knowledge of a morning newscast and how it works. Working knowledge of libel laws and journalistic ethics. Must have solid leadership skills, strong work ethic and be a team player. Ability to work overnight/early morning shift. Provide a demo reel of work in resume/cover letter.
