FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 29 is seeking a creative, experienced TV Director to lead the production/execution of all of our on-air newscasts, original programming and all other on-air productions. Must be able to direct, or learn to direct, newscasts using production automation technology. Will be responsible for coordinating and creating selected graphics for newscasts and perform other duties as assigned. 2-3 years control room experience required. Needs to effectively communicate with producers and crew. We are looking for someone who wants to ''Go There'' and get involved in a ''non-traditional'' format. Candidates are expected to contribute ideas and work with the producer and talent on the vision of the broadcast. Ability to work well under pressure, sensitive to deadlines, attention to detail and knowledge of Sony ELC and Chyron Hyper X a plus.
Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of directing experience in a top 20 market, or 3+ years in smaller markets. Bachelor's degree preferred.
