FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

WTTG/WDCA – News Anchor/Reporter (Regular Full-Time)

We are looking for a creative, forward-thinking individual with an engaging personality that can ignite conversations and turn interviews into compelling, newsworthy stories for multiple media platforms. You are comfortable using various platforms to engage viewers and provide the most essential local news and information to the community. You are curious, agile, and innovative. You have a focus for delivering timely and accurate news. You have an eagerness to dominate and be the first to report breaking news. You know what is important to your audience.
Responsibilities: An outstanding storyteller and live on-air performer with strong interviewing skills, solid journalistic judgment, and the ability to ad-lib effectively. Investigate, research, write, and report against tight deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Pitch powerful stories that uncover significant information that will receive attention. Must work cohesively with producers, editors, and photographers to create captivating news stories and features, taped and live, to connect with the viewers and grow ratings. Must be able to work accurately and efficiently within time constraints. Work with social media to attract, inform, and engage the audience. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate their success at developing and maintaining powerful story source networks.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field required. 3+ years of news experience in a medium to large market. Recent experience and proficiency with newsroom computers, live news technology, and related software required.

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24/7 operation. Candidates must have flexibility in scheduling evenings, early mornings, weekends as well as work all shifts in a 24/7/365 breaking news environment. Local/national travel. Must be able to work overtime, holidays, and varied hours. Candidate will also be required to join the SAG-AFTRA Washington-Mid Atlantic Local union for the on-air news unit.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67.30-69.75 per hour for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $56.00-58.00 per hour for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
