JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Senior Producer to join our news team. As the Senior Producer, you have the opportunity to craft and help create the network's Sunday public affairs show which airs on FOX TV and repeats on Fox News. We are looking for a proven go-getter who is energized by politics and has previous shows and experience covering politics. As the Senior Producer, you have excellent editorial judgment, top-notch writing skills and can produce everything from compelling guest and panel segments to long-form feature pieces on the issues Americans care most about. You will take responsibility for creating incredibly visual stories and reporter hits, as well as seeking out the most groundbreaking guests and thought leaders for the program.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in editorial decisions for content for the show – day of and future
• Work closely with one of the news industry's top talents
• Assist the Senior Executive Producer and Executive Producer in pitching and developing ideas for the program, then executing approved segment ideas – including feature pieces
• Monitor key news sites to keep on top of the latest developments and trends to drive our coverage forward
• Oversee research packets and copy editing for all guest and panel segments; reporter hits and packages; scripts and on-screen graphics
• Mentor and develop show staff including Segment Producers

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 8 years of newsroom or field experience
• Excellent organizational and writing skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
• Knowledge and passion for current events and politics is essential
• Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Degree in Journalism or related field
• Show producing / line producing
