FOX Weather is a 24/7 ad-supported streaming service operated by FOX News Media. Launched in October 2021, the platform builds upon FOX News Channel's expansive newsgathering units & FOX Television Stations' added resources with a combined 120 meteorologists for a comprehensive suite of weather products featuring local, regional and national reporting, in addition to live programming. Utilizing multiple radar systems, including an immersive mobile 3D radar, and more than 100,000 HD cameras located around the country, the service offers users an innovative approach to forecasting, including coverage surrounding all weather patterns, from immediate to long-term. FOX Weather is available via foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app on IOS and Android devices, as well as Tubi, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, through FOX's Connected TV Apps.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Weather is looking for a dedicated and experienced Segment Producer to join the team in NY. The ideal Segment Producer is talented, organized, and hard-working with great editorial judgment. In this role, you will pitch stories, produce research packets, gather elements, and work closely with on-air talent. The Segment Producer should also be familiar with line producing and have experience in producing breaking news in the control room.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch and execute creative and innovative ideas for segments
• Produce segments from conception to on-air execution
• Work closely with on-air talent to assist with show prep
• Ability to line produce and be able to produce breaking news in the control room

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Strong interest in weather-related topics ranging from the most important breaking weather news to features on weather stories
• Strong editorial judgment
• Ability to work under intense deadline pressures and in breaking news
• Experience working with iNEWS and Dalet editing software is a plus

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-85,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
