JOB DESCRIPTION
Gutfeld! is looking for a Producer/Writer who can keep up with the fast-paced nature of the show. The ideal candidate is a proactive, passionate individual familiar with programming across all the major networks, viral videos past and present, and is super knowledgeable about pop culture. Familiarity with the current show is critical.
The Producer/Writer will produce the monologue and gather all video and graphic elements. You will also write segments, questions, and pitch guests. You will assist in the post-production of videos, show builds, and occasionally help with field shoots. You may also be called upon to line produce. The Producer/Writer is a team player who can hit the ground running while working with a the editorial staff, guests, and technical team.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Find great video clips and coordinate with graphical artists to create compelling elements to accompany the monologue
• Write stories, guest intros, teases, and guest questions
• Manage rights and clearances
• Work with editors to cut voiceovers, sound on tape, and montages for air
• Pitch guest segments and daily story ideas
• Work with editors to turn raw footage into a polished program
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years' experience working in the media industry
• Understanding of non-linear editing is required
• Good editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills
• Experience in broadcast or cable news a plus
• Ability to multi-task, be detailed oriented, and prioritize under deadline pressure
• Think creatively and develop new and interesting approaches to storytelling

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-105,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
