JOB DESCRIPTION

America Reports is looking for an experienced Coordinating Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is an independent leader who is a proven go-getter, a team player, and someone who can rise to the occasion under the stressful demands of cable news. As Coordinating Producer, you should have excellent editorial judgment and breaking news experience.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be a leader, especially in the control room, including but not limited to working with on-air talent, reporters and guests in the field, and the director to ensure the program runs as smoothly as possible
• Fill in as line producer when needed
• Manage production
• Help copy edit scripts
• Communicate daily story development to the executive producer
• Provide solid news judgment, especially during breaking news
• Help plan daily and future editorial content for the show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5+ years of proven live newsroom experience, including management of control room and line/segment producers, for television newscast
• Knowledge and passion for news
• Exceptional editorial skills
• Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability/track record of being highly motivated and getting things done in a fast-paced environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-136,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
