JOB DESCRIPTION

MarVista Entertainment is seeking an experienced Manager, Legal & Documentation Deliverables to support its Content Operations team. This role will track all films through pre-production, post-production, and final internal and external delivery, ensuring that all necessary legal motion picture documentation is vetted and approved. The person in this role will need to be organized, detail-oriented, pro-active and with the ability to exercise good judgement and communication.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the incoming legal delivery for motion pictures and conduct in-depth review of paper and legal deliverables including but not limited to: ​​
• Chain of Title – review and analyze to confirm necessary transfer of rights for applicable exploitation
• Music Agreements - including composer agreements, recording/master use and synchronization/performance licenses to ensure proper compliance with MarVista music requirements for relevant exploitation
• Talent Contracts - review and interpret talent contracts (actor, director, producer, etc.) and related documents to ensure compliance with credit obligations for use in marketing materials and other uses
• E&O Insurance - Review E&O certificates and policies to ensure compliance with MarVista's requirements (including proper coverage for music, title, distribution in all media and appropriate policy coverage limits)
• Copyright Registrations – review and advise on
• Ensure deliverables are prepared in accordance with third-party client delivery requests
• Communicate with external producers and internal parties regarding the deliverable needs for each project, ensuring received assets are acceptable
• Manage and build delivery timelines
• Engage with numerous producers to coordinate the workflow of production documentation, routing documents and information through the appropriate review and approval processes. (i.e., feedback on outstanding delivery, rejections, additional information needed)
• Centralize and organize information and documentation in internal systems and tracking documents
• Engage with all internal departments (Business and Legal Affairs, Content Ops, Post-Production, Creative, Marketing) to manage the internal workflows, ensuring all information and documents are available for downstream activities/servicing needs
• Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure assets received are acceptable

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 2+ years of related experience feature film legal delivery (studio, in-house film production, company or law firm)
• 2+ years of related experience with high-volume production and distribution
• Ability to work independently, as we all as part of a team across all departments
• Ability to prioritize and apply appropriate resources where needed
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn things thoroughly and quickly
• Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong proficiency In Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) database and file management

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $60,000.00-75,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000 Per Year ($ USD)
