OutKick is looking for an Associate Social Media Producer/Editor to join our team! You are a crucial member of the team as you help to produce content for our social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the OutKick site.

The ideal candidate for this position has extensive knowledge of sports, pop culture, entertainment, and how different genres of content feed into their respective internet sub-cultures. The candidate must have an exceptional eye for what goes viral online while thriving in a fast deadline-driven timeline. You will be responsible for editing and curating OutKick's social media feed with news content surrounding sports and entertainment. You will be contributing ideas for day-to-day content primarily around NFL, NBA, and College Sports, but not limited to NHL, WNBA, MLB, Soccer, Gaming, Betting, and more. You must be willing to edit content for social media during most gamedays, as the games unfold in live time.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce high-quality user-generated content for Outkick's platforms, emphasizing news, sports, and politics.
• Edit and produce video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, with some knowledge of After Effects, tailored to Outkick's brand and audience.
• Engage with Outkick's audience to build a community around sports, news, and political discussions, encouraging user participation.
• Identify and curate user-generated content that aligns with Outkick's brand values and resonates with its audience, particularly in the realms of sports and politics.
• Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing campaigns that utilize user-generated content to boost brand awareness and engagement, with a focus on Outkick's audience interests.
• Work closely with internal teams to develop creative concepts and campaigns that effectively leverage user-generated content, reflecting the tone and style of Outkick.
• Track and analyze the performance of user-generated content to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization, particularly in sports and political commentary.
• Develop and enforce guidelines to maintain consistency and integrity in user-generated content, ensuring alignment with Outkick's brand.
• Pitch and execute new video ideas, particularly around breaking news and sports events, and collaborate with talent on social segment content.
• Stay informed on current trends in user-generated content and viral media, especially those related to sports, news, and political topics relevant to Outkick's audience.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in web-based content creation
• A strong eye for UGC content
• Proficiency in Video Editing, graphic design, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, starter knowledge of After Effects
• Good editorial judgment and extensive knowledge of sports, news and current events, entertainment, politics, and viral content
• Strong writing skills and the ability to self-proof
• Organization skills that allow for multiple projects to be produced simultaneously
• Positive and creative attitude with the ability to hit deadlines while working under pressure
• Ability to work independently, paired with a self-starter attitude
• Flexibility to work holidays and weekends according to the needs of Breaking News and sports schedules
• Experience in social media-first publications or building significant social media followings is essential, with a particular focus on content aligned with Outkick's audience.
• Occasional travel may be required

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-77,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
