Job Description
FOX44 is seeking a qualified individual to manage and direct the operational workflow and staff necessary to perform essential duties to promote ongoing operational success in a Live News 24/7 Broadcast environment. Must know how to technically direct a newscast and operate all equipment associated with Local Live News production. Must embrace new technology and knowledgably present it throughout the operating staff to maintain good working order of all station subsystems. Effective communication skills and able to report accurately any/all technical and operational conditions both oral and written and ensure they are meeting the quality programming standards set forth in accordance with FCC regulations then take immediate corrective actions as required to restore compliance. The candidate will oversee the day-to-day coordination of all technical, operational, and budgetary requirements and facilitate operations coordination across the various station departments. Candidate will work closely with VP/General Manager and Engineering to help see all operations objectives are implemented and executed properly.

Hires and oversees the production crew that executes live newscasts. The best candidates will have a strong working knowledge of current control room equipment, including video switchers, audio mixers and graphics generators. Candidate must possess an in-depth awareness of developments in equipment technology and procedures. The position requires a strong working knowledge of Internet Technology, including modern computer/software systems and networking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Be knowledgeable of analog and digital studio equipment use and configuration.
• Be knowledgeable of digital broadcast automation and traffic systems.
• Be knowledgeable and able to execute on site and remote News studio broadcast operations.
• Have a working knowledge of satellite delivered programming.
• Understanding of, and manage and maintain as needed, all station digital platforms.
• Work with station News, Creative Service/Marketing-Promotion department heads to contribute to and maximize broadcast / digital assets.
• Assist Engineering with developing and enforcing all technical operations policies and procedures, including the generation of reports to key departments regarding performance and/or issues.
• Communicates with members of the engineering team and other teams to effectively resolve equipment / system issues.
• Assist evaluating new and existing broadcast technologies that are to be utilized.
• Creates and manages timeline of events, maintains project management of operations team workflows and engineering requirements.
• Schedules daily personnel and equipment to meet station on site and remote production needs.
• Manages department reports during and after events.
• Operates, maintains, updates and repairs hardware and systems used for broadcasting and business operations.
• Minimizes service interruptions at times of equipment and/or system failure by rapidly identifying and implementing solutions.
• Hands on working manager.
Other related duties assigned.

Requirement and Skills:
• Minimum five years' experience in program production, with two years' experience in a leadership role preferred.
• High degree of business integrity and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, superior interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and people skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Listens to and fully understand employee needs and communicates with a team to shape a solution.
• Available to work weekends, extended hours, and flexible shifts. Travel may be required.
• Have adequate transportation, current driver's license, and good driving record. Pass pre-employment background check.
• Must have experience in Broadcast Television production and have experience in technical / operational planning.
