Morning LIVE Reporter – Denver (KDVR/KWGN)

KDVR/FOX31 Denver and KWGN/Colorado's Own Channel 2 are looking for an experienced morning LIVE reporter to join our team

We want someone who excels at covering live breaking news, spot news, inclement weather and impactful stories with urgency all morning long. You should expect to always be on the move, doing multiple hits for two stations in multiple newscasts.

You should be good at pitching good story ideas to the meetings, cultivating sources, and winning the story each day on ALL platforms.

You must have strong storytelling skills and an urgent, energetic, and creative delivery. We'll be looking at your reel to see that you handle breaking news with ease.

We are looking for someone who is passionate at winning the story on all platforms.

College degree and a minimum of four years television news reporting experience preferred; must be a team player who can multi-task under deadline pressure and work a flexible schedule.

Primary Responsibilities
• Report on multiple stories live all morning long with reports on two different stations.
• Cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
• Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
• Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community
• Produce content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our website
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred; equivalent experience required
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a journalist
• Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to solve problems quickly
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends & ON CALL shifts
• Must be able to work under deadlines and have the ability to multi-task

Salary Range $70K -- Based on Experience
