Responsibilities
The Director, Strategic Analytics will infuse audience understanding and competitive insights throughout the three key lines of business at Fandango. Strategic analytics enables us to understand the changing consumer behaviors and preferences within the media landscape. This role will be a key leader that delivers data-driven insights to inform the key strategic decisions that arise throughout the Ticketing, Home Entertainment, and Ad Sales lifecycles, across multiple functional divisions (Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.). You will deliver against this responsibility through impactful and relevant ad hoc analyses, and through creation of recurring, automated decision enhancing tools to support our business objectives and to empower our stakeholders. Partnering with the peers across Fandango Decision Sciences you will define, build, and test use cases and new insights to demonstrate the value and impact of our customer analytics. And for those analyses that deliver informed action against a recurring business question, you will evolve these into stand-alone solutions and tools. The Director will seek to deeply understand the complex challenges we face across Fandango and it's competitive landscape.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Recruit and lead a team of analytics professionals focused on hypothesis-driven data analysis projects that grow the a deeper understanding of the strategic and competitive landscape across Fandango's three key lines of business
• Translate insights into strategic direction and empower execution in a data-informed manner across Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, etc
• Deeply understand the Fandango ecosystem, defining and analyzing metrics that evaluate our trajectory and inform the success of our products
• Develop deep marketplace intuition that you leverage to influence future business development and drive decision making
• Prepare dashboards with visualizations and KPI tracking for senior executives
• Present research on user behavior, the competitive landscape, and metrics development / methodology to all levels of the company ensuring transparency and partnership
• Foster a culture of execution excellence and analytical rigor

Qualifications/Requirements
• 5+ years of applied experience in eCommerce, social network, direct to consumer or media entertainment with a strong focus on analytics, product, project management, & user behavior
• 3+ years of people management / history of elevating a team
• BA/BS in technical or quantitative disciple or significant relevant work experience
• Experience defining instrumentation and analyzing data in digital analytics platforms (e.g. Snowplow, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Coding skills for data analysis (SQL, Python, R, etc.+)
• Experience performing analysis with large datasets, i.e. Amazon AWS, Snowflake, or Google Big Query
• Extensive knowledge of statistics and analytical concepts
• Experience in using data to drive product decisions and change opinions.
