Job Description
The Associate Manager is a part of the College Football Sports Marketing team, which supports both ESPN linear and ESPN+, our digital platform. This position will focus on the execution of the ACCN marketing strategies and multi-platform promotional plans across ESPN and ESPN+, in addition to providing overall support for the Sports Marketing department. A core part of this role will be integrating the ACCN marketing strategy and creative between ESPN and ESPN+.The position reports to the Associate Director Sports Marketing. This role is based in Charlotte, NC or New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the development of ACCN promotional plans, in addition to leading all campaign execution for on-channel marketing.
• Establishes strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across ESPN and TWDC in an effort to market ACCN across our linear and DTC platforms
• Supplement creative development, from inception to approvals and execution for the ACC property.
• Plans and schedules marketing efforts with Media partners
• Partners with the league to bolster communication, campaign extensions and implementation
• Drives ACCN creative development and asset delivery for both ESPN and ESPN+
• Assists in development of marketing briefs to internal and external partners in support of priority programming
• Builds day-to-day relationship with cross functional teams (TWDC, Media, Programming, Production, Affiliate, etc.) and external creative partners including the planning and management of full timelines.
• Aides in the pre-production and production logistics and timelines supporting live action and photography shoots.
• Provides performance analysis of all marketing plans and initiatives
• Creates, collaborates and contributes to the ACCN social media effort
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management.
• Effective time management and organizational skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task on a high profile, high volume portfolio.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Adobe Suite experience desired.
• Strong work ethic. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and take initiative to get the job done.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (copywriting experience a plus).
• Holds self and others accountable for creative and executional excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of college sports
• Interested in music and cultural touchpoints around the sports industry
• Excellent creative instincts and experience working with internal and external creative partners.
• A healthy appreciation of the role sports plays in popular culture, especially music.
• Strategic thinker. Strong base of analytic thinking and understand Consumer & Market Insights.
• Strong work ethic. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and take initiative to get the job done.
• Embraces and passionate about social media. Knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms.
• Knowledge of and interest in the evolving media landscape and media consumption habits.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business or a related field

The hiring range for this position in Charlotte, NC or New York, NY is $74,292 to $99,660 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
